The loudness of Silence: Silence is such a scarce commodity these days that when we do find it, its roar is deafening. Unless we deliberately create and cultivate silence it is forever elusive. Being on holidays this time around I have chosen specifically to create silence and just turn things down low for a while. Its wonderful, now the noise seems so annoying and disturbing. The benefits to the body, mind and soul are phenomenal. Western culture is missing so much with its busyness and noise. The challenge for me now will be to continue the silence once I get back to work.
